He described Melaye as the only capable and fearless among the PDP aspirants that can wrestle power from the hands of the APC-led administration that has plunged the state into a precarious situation.

He lamented that since the inception of the APC government in Kogi State, payment of percentage salaries has been the order of the day at the local government areas, noting that if Melaye is given the ticket of the party, he would dislodge APC and right the wrongs of the present administration in Kogi State.

He, therefore, appealed to PDP leaders both at the national and state levels to give the governorship ticket of the party to Senator Dino Melaye in order to win the Kogi governorship election for PDP.

Lokoja Ward D women leader, Elizabeth Awelewa, in her remarks, said for equity and fairness, an aspirant from Kogi West should be given the ticket of the PDP, saying since the creation of Kogi State, the Western senatorial district has never produce the governor of the state.

She appealed to PDP stakeholders to give the ticket of the party to Dino Melaye in the spirit of justice.

The youth leader, PDP Lokoja local government, Lawal Ibrahim, said the group gathered to show solidarity to Dino Melaye whom he described as capable to pilot the affairs of the state.

He appealed to the party delegates to vote wisely in order to pick a competent candidate who can protect the interest of the common man in the state, maintaining that Dino Melaye possesses the qualities to win the Kogi governorship election and develop the state.
