He also appealed to aggrieved candidates in the recent Kogi State governorship election to accept the outcome of the polls.

Abubakar said this while congratulating Ododo on his victory and commending the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting free, fair, and credible elections.

Ododo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, was declared the winner of the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State by the INEC.

However, following protests from parties and candidates, the Kogi State NNPP chairman, Abubakar, urged aggrieved people in the Kogi State to accept the outcome of the polls in the overall interest of the state.

Abubakar, who hailed the security agencies and INEC for their conduct during the election, called on “all political leaders in the state to collaborate with the governor-elect and prioritise the peace and stability of the state above all other considerations.”
