The Kogi state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has restated its determination to reclaim the state’s seat of government after spending 10 years out of control of the state.

PDP had ruled the state for 13 years between 2003 and 2016 with Ibrahim Idris spending a total of 9 years as a result of a court ruling which extend his tenure.

However, his successor, Idris Wada was defeated by the now ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which took over power in 2016.

The chairman of PDP in the state, Hon. Muhammed Gambo told Journalists in Lokoja on Friday that the time is up for the ruling APC, saying that they should be prepared to hand over power to the PDP.

Gambo expressed optimism that the PDP will not only take over Lugard House but also Aso Rock, citing the party’s strong network and structures across the state and Nigeria.
