Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji, a well-known philanthropist from Kogi State, has made a generous donation to support the efforts of the Kogi State government in combating crime.
The founder and CEO of Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation (PROOF) recently handed over seven security operational vehicles equipped with security gadgets to Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo.
In a statement, Prince Olusoji emphasised the importance of security for the prosperity and well-being of the people. “Security should be everybody’s business,” he said. “I have seen the passion and dedication of Governor Ododo in addressing security challenges in the state, and I feel it is important for those who have the means to support and complement the government’s efforts.”
Governor Ododo expressed his gratitude for Prince Olusoji’s donation, noting that it would greatly enhance the state’s ability to combat crime and maintain peace. He stressed the importance of collaboration between the government and stakeholders in ensuring the safety and security of the people.
The security operational vehicles will be distributed to seven local government areas in Kogi State, including Kabba-Bunu, Ijumu, Mopamuro, Yagba-East, Yagba-West, Adavi, and Okehi, while others await their delivery soon.
The vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art security gadgets to aid law enforcement agencies in their efforts to maintain law and order.
Governor Ododo, while thanking Prince Olatunji Olusoji for redeeming his promise, reassured the people of Kogi State that his administration would make judicious use of the vehicles and gadgets to ensure the safety of all residents.
He called on other well-meaning individuals and organisations to follow Prince Olusoji’s example and support the government in its fight against crime and criminality.
