Veteran Nollywood actor and deputy director-general of the Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), Zack Orji, has said Kogi State stands as a clear reflection of the impact of President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms. He insisted that increased federal allocations are being translated into visible development projects.

Orji stated this after RTIFN concluded the Kogi State leg of its nationwide project assessment and media tour.

According to him, the exercise was designed to provide Nigerians with verifiable evidence of how the Federal Government’s reforms are supporting development across the states.

He said the movement inspected several government projects and interacted with residents, students and public officials to obtain firsthand information on the impact of ongoing interventions.

“We are here to showcase how the increased allocation to the state is affecting the lives of the citizens. We have gone round to see projects ourselves because Nigerians deserve to know how these resources are being translated into development,” Orji said.

He explained that the nationwide assessment was aimed at presenting factual information to Nigerians through direct engagement with communities and beneficiaries rather than speculation.

RTIFN said the increase in monthly allocations from the Federation Account Allocation Committee following President Tinubu’s fiscal reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidy and exchange rate adjustments, had given states greater financial capacity to invest in infrastructure and public services.

The group also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for complementing the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda by executing strategic projects across the state.

According to the organisation, investments in transportation, education, public finance, infrastructure and institutional development demonstrate prudent utilisation of the increased allocations.

RTIFN reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its nationwide project verification exercise, saying the initiative would enable Nigerians to assess government projects based on facts gathered directly from communities.

Also speaking, the Kogi State Auditor-General for Local Government, Mr Mark Okala, said the state had utilised the improved fiscal environment to strengthen public institutions and improve service delivery.

He said a newly developed facility would provide a conducive working environment for the State Pension Commission and the Office of the Accountant-General.

“The idea behind this project is to provide a conducive environment for the Pension Commission as well as the Office of the Accountant-General. This has been made possible because of the magnanimity of His Excellency, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, whose policies have increased allocations to states, enabling governors to undertake projects that directly impact the lives of the people,” Okala said.
