This momentous event marks a new era for the organisation, as the new executives take the helm with a commitment to fostering growth and collaboration.

The outgoing president, Mr Rabiu Adamu, extended his gratitude to the country director for the invaluable cooperation extended throughout his tenure. During his address, he unveiled the new SKICAN Magazine and website, which have become the go-to platforms for alumni updates and insights.

“The SKICAN Alumni Gathering 2023 was an extraordinary event that united members from diverse backgrounds and regions, providing a valuable opportunity for networking, reconnecting, and sharing experiences, further reinforcing the strength of the SKICAN community.”

Mr. Joseph Oboh, the newly elected president, said the alumni gathering was not merely a celebration of past achievements but also a platform for alumni to reconnect, share their experiences, and lay the foundation for collaborative efforts to shape a brighter future.

“The SKICAN Alumni Gathering 2023 was a testament to the enduring spirit and commitment of the SKICAN community and their dedication to making a difference in Nigeria and beyond. As alumni forge ahead, they remain committed to the values and goals of the CIAT Programme, fostering positive change and growth in various sectors,” Oboh stated.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of two capstone projects implemented this year by CIAT beneficiaries, Ms Jamila Hassan and Mrs Ijeoma Duru, showcasing the tangible impact of the CIAT programme.

SKICAN looks forward to an exciting and productive journey under the leadership of Mr Joseph Oboh as it continues to contribute to Nigeria’s development and progress.

The programme was attended by remarkable individuals who have made significant contributions to various sectors in Nigeria. From energy to transport, agriculture to technology, education to administration, and governance, SKICAN alumni have left an indelible mark on the nation.
