Deputy national financial secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Dattuwa Ali Kumo, has donated N12.5 million to the party’s state and local government structures in Gombe State.

Kumo made the announcement yesterday during a visit to the APC State Secretariat, Gombe Local Government Secretariat and Akko North Party Secretariat.

He explained that the donation was aimed at facilitating the smooth conduct of the ongoing electronic registration (e-registration) of party members across the state.

According to the approved sharing formula, the APC State Secretariat will receive N2 million, while Gombe and Akko local government areas will each receive N2 million, bringing the subtotal to N6 million. The remaining 10 local governments, along with youth, women, and other support groups, will receive N500,000 each, totalling another N6.5 million.

At the various locations visited, Kumo stated that the national leadership of the APC had mandated the delegation to inspect and monitor the conduct of the e-registration in the state.

Kumo, who led the delegation, expressed satisfaction with the exercise and urged party executives, political office holders and members to redouble their efforts to ensure its overall success.

He told state party executives and officials at the Gombe Local Government Secretariat that the APC embarked on the e-registration to accurately identify genuine party members.

According to him, this would enhance effective policy formulation and ensure that members benefit more from the party’s programmes.

Kumo added that the national leadership of the APC was proud of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, Dan Majen Gombe, for the transformation and remodelling of Gombe State, noting that active participation in the e-registration would encourage the governor to do more for the people.

In his remark, the APC State chairman, Mr Nitte Amangal, described the visit as a morale booster for party faithful to actively participate in the e-registration. He assured that the State Executive Committee would do everything necessary to ensure the success of the exercise.
