Christian leaders under the umbrella of the Nigerian Interdenominational Pastors Assembly (NIPA) have commended Kaduna State governor, Senator Uba Sani, for his decisive leadership in responding to recent bandit attacks in Kurmin Wali, Kajuru local government area, where over 100 worshippers were abducted.
The pastors also hailed the Sani administration’s sustained investment in infrastructure and community development.
Led by Revd Abraham Habila Zock, the delegation visited several affected communities in the Kurmin Wali axis, where coordinated attacks by armed bandits resulted in the abduction of residents and heightened tension across the area.
Zock praised Governor Sani’s swift and hands-on response, noting that his decision to personally visit the affected communities, console bereaved families and reassure residents demonstrated empathy, authority and a clear sense of responsibility at a critical moment.
According to the pastors, the governor’s presence among the people helped restore confidence and calm, reinforcing the message that the state government remains firmly engaged in protecting lives and property.
Zock recalled that during an earlier visit to Kurmin Wali, Governor Uba Sani described the attacks as a cruel abduction of innocent citizens and assured residents that coordinated security operations were underway to secure the release of those still in captivity.
“He made it clear that insecurity will not be tolerated and that his administration is fully committed to working closely with federal security agencies to safeguard vulnerable communities, particularly in Southern Kaduna,” Zock said.
Beyond immediate security measures, Zock highlighted the governor’s development-driven approach to peace and stability, commending ongoing rural road rehabilitation projects, improved access to social services and plans for new healthcare facilities in Kajuru and surrounding communities.
The pastors described the infrastructure interventions as critical to restoring economic activities, improving mobility and reducing the isolation that often exacerbates insecurity in rural areas.
