Former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has called on Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to take active steps ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging them to register to vote and align with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Kwankwaso, a prominent figure within the ADC and former presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), made the appeal in a video message shared via his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday night.

In the message, he emphasised the importance of civic participation, particularly among young Nigerians, noting that voter registration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) remains a critical step in shaping the country’s political future.

He urged eligible Nigerians not to delay in completing their voter registration process, stressing that broad participation would be key to determining leadership outcomes in 2027.
Kwankwaso also encouraged citizens to register with the ADC, describing the party as a growing political platform backed by opposition figures seeking to challenge the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next election cycle.
