Isare- Opin community in Ekiti local government area of Kwara State has donated an office facility to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) as part of efforts to ensure security of lives and property in the area.
Kwara State commandant of the NSCDC, Umar Mohammed, commissioned the outpost office yesterday.
The commandant who was represented by Olushola Davies, commended the people of the community for the timely completion of the outpost.
He assured the public that the corps remained steadfast in its mission to safeguard lives and property, adding, “It’s this commitment that drives the ongoing establishment of divisional offices and outposts. This initiative focuses on expanding security coverage to rural areas, ensuring that all citizens, including those in remote communities, receive the protection they deserve.”
He urged the people to give full support to the personnel assigned to their area and share reliable information that will help prevent crime and criminal activities within the community.
The Alara of Isare-Opin, Oba Michael Owolabi, applauded the NSCDC’s commitment to enhancing security at the grassroots level.
He thanked NSCDC’s the Commandant for his continued support and pledge to ensure a supportive environment for the officers assigned to his community.
