Kwara Gov, Speaker, Yusuf, KWASU, Others Hail Emir Of Ilorin At 85

The chairman of Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum (NGF) and Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq  has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on his 85th birthday.

The governor’s congratulatory message to the Emir was contained in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye.

“AbdulRazaq joins the rest of the state, especially the people of Ilorin Emirate, to celebrate the Mai Martaba’s hugely impactful life of service to God and humanity — as a retired judge, a statesman, a foremost leader, and a father to all.

“The Governor commends the Emir for his leadership and support for the administration’s developmental initiatives which have transformed the state in all spheres.

“On behalf of his family and the government of Kwara State, the Governor wishes the Emir long life in good health, happiness, and enduring legacy of greatness,”the statement said.

Similarly, the Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has felicitated with the the Emir on his birthday.

Danladi-Salihu in a congratulatory message signed by his chief press secretary, Sheu Yusuf, praised Sulu-Gambari’s peaceful and impactful reign on the stool of his forebears.

“We, at the State House of Assembly, are proud and happy to be associated with the numerous achievements and successes that the Ilorin Emirate and, indeed, the entire Kwara State have recorded during the peaceful and impactful reign of His Royal Highness as the Emir of Ilorin and chairman of the State Traditional Council.

“We are also delighted that the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State as a whole have continued to witness tremendous infrastructural development during the reign of His Royal Highness, especially in the almost six years of the people-oriented administration of the Sardauna of the Ilorin Emirate, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq,  the executive governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria’s Governors Forum (NGF).”

The vice chancellor of  Kwara State University ( KWASU), Malete, Prof Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, also rejoiced with the Emir on the landmark birthday.”We thank Allah for the life and impact of the Emir. Maimartaba has provided exemplary leadership, upheld revered traditional values, and served as a reservoir of wisdom and an advocate of morality. He has used his position to champion peaceful coexistence in Kwara State and we earnestly pray Allah to bless His Royal Highness with many more  years in good health.

“I also congratulate the governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and all Kwarans on the birthday of the Emir of Ilorin,” Jimoh added.

In his own congratulatory message,the group managing director of KAM Holding Ltd, Dr Kamoru Yusuf praised the Emir for being an harbinger of hope and development.

Yusuf expressed delight that the reign of Sulu- Gambari has brought unpredictable development to Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State as a whole. He added:” It is heartening that Allah has preserved Your Highness for us to cover this mileage with truckload of accomplishments in all spheres of human endeavour.

” No doubt, Ilorin has grown to be a Cosmopolitan City during your reign, and this is an attestation to Your Highness’s pragmatic leadership. With the level of growth and development in Ilorin among its contemporaries, I am of implicit confidence that what has been achieved is just a precursor for more goodies in the offing.

” On behalf of my family, management and staff of KAM Holding Limited, I congratulate Your Highness and wish you longevity of life with sound health.”

The rector of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed, in a congratulatory message  signed by the institution’s spokesperson, Halimat Garba, expressed profound admiration for the Emir’s exemplary leadership and accommodating nature which have fostered a sense of unity and belonging amongst the people of diverse backgrounds in Kwara State .

Muhammed lauded the Emir for nurturing a culture of harmony and understanding among his subjects, noting that the Emir’s strong conviction in the ideals of one Nigeria resonate deeply with the vision the Polytechnic uphold.

The rector expressed delight  that the Emir has been a beacon of  progress, championing initiatives that have significantly improved the livelihoods of his people, noting that his leadership has not only fostered development in Ilorin but has also positively influenced the broader state.

The president of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alh Abdulmumini Abdulmalik, also felicitated with the Emir on his birthday.

In a statement signed by the union’s spokesperson, Nurudeen Ibrahim, the IEDPU president said that the union is delighted that her the Emir  witnessed his 85th birthday in sound health.

Abdulmalik described the Emir as a special blessing to the people of Ilorin Emirate, saying that the monarch has been providing quality leadership to the people for several decades even before his ascension to the throne.

The Hijrah Islamic Organisation of Nigeria, Kwara State chapter rejoiced with the Emir of Ilorin on the occasion of his birthday. Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, on the occasion of his 85th birthday anniversary.

The organistion’s chairman, Prof  Badmos Yusuf,  described the Emir as a foremost upright and righteous jurist who has contributed immensely to national growth and grassroot development.

“The achievements of our amiable father, the Emir of Ilorin are beyond  documentation. He has being father to all, a characteristic which stands him tall among others,” Yusuf said.
