Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has condoled the people of Ilorin East, especially Ibagun ward, on the death of former president of the All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Alh Kuranga Morogun.
Kuranga, a retired principal and chairman of Ibagun Progressive Union (IPU) died on Wednesday and has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
The governor, in a condolence message signed by his chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, commiserated with the people of Ibagun, family, and the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union on the death of the prominent educationist.
Also, the national president of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alh Abdulmumini Abdulmalik, has expressed profound sadness on the death of Morogun.
Abdulmalik, in a statement signed by the union’s national publicity secretary, Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahim, said that he and members of the national executive council of the union were sad with the news of the death of the educationist.
He said that the deceased was a renowned educationist who taught for several years in so many schools across Kwara State before his appointment as a principal, recalling that his impacts as the chief executive of Okelele Secondary School and Baboko Community Secondary School, both in Ilorin, would remain imperishable in the annals of the two schools.
