Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the procurement of ultrasound machines and electrophoresis machines for some state-owned hospitals.
The governor’s approval for the purchase of the equipment followed requests made by the chief medical directors of the benefitting hospitals after a thorough needs assessment done by the management of Kwara State Hospitals Management Board (KWHMB).
The benefitting facilities include d an hospital located in Ogidi (one ultrasound machine and its UPS) , Sobi Specialist Hospital, Alagbado (two ultrasound machines and two UPS), Children’s Specialist, Centre Igboro, Ilorin ( four electrophoresis machines) and an hospital in Iloffa( six mackintosh matresses ) .
The executive secretary of the state Hospital Management Board, Dr. Abdulraheem Malik, expressed delight that,” these facilities have now added more services to what the hospitals presently offer.”
He hailed Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to the improvement of healthcare service delivery system across the state.
