The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, has appointed a new state deputy chairman, secretary, publicity secretary and acting youth leader.
The new appointees are Alh Idris Mudashiru from Baruten local government area as deputy chairman, AbdulRahman Abdullahi Kayode from Ilorin West as secretary, while Olusegun Olusola Sholyment from Isin local government as publicity secretary and Mallam Mohammed Abdulmunmini as acting youth leader.
The new appointments made by the PDP followed the resignation of its erstwhile state secretary, Alh Rasaq Lawal; and the publicity secretary, Prince Tunji Moronfoye.
Lawal and Moronfoye cited personal reasons for their resignation from their positions.
The PDP’s erstwhile youth leader, Prince Haliru Dantsho, was suspended by the state working committee of the party over alleged anti- party activities.
LEADERSHIP reports that the chairman of the party in the state, Hon. Babatunde Mohammed, had last weekend hinted about a plan to reposition the party for more efficient mandatory delivery.
