The chairman of the National Election Monitoring Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Adenigbagbe Yusuf, on Sunday expressed satisfaction with the turnout and conduct of party members during the House of Representatives primary election in Kwara State.

Yusuf made the remark while monitoring the primary election for the Ilorin East/Ilorin South Federal Constituency seat at Magaji Aare Ward I, Isale-Oja, in Ilorin East Local Government Area.

The monitoring exercise was jointly carried out by the Kwara State Working Committee (SWC) of the PDP, led by the state chairman, Hon. Isa Bawa Adamu, alongside members of the National Election Monitoring Committee deployed to the state.

Yusuf commended party members for their impressive turnout and peaceful participation, describing the process as encouraging ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He also praised the political leadership of former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, stating that Kwara remains a strong force within Nigeria’s opposition politics.
