The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Alh Abdullahi Yaman, has promised to resuscitate students loans board if elected as the next governor of the state.
He said the resuscitation of the board is necessary to ensure that “no child is denied quality education as a result of his or her family status”.
Yaman spoke in Ilorin, the state capital, at a summit on leadership and entrepreneurship organised by the National Association of Kwara State Students(NAKSS).
He added that the resuscitation of the board will guarantee uninterrupted schooling for indigent pupils in the state.
“We shall liaise with the authorities of the university of Ilorin to provide an efficient, effective and secured transportation system for the school”, Yaman said.
The gubernatorial hopeful charged the students to squarely face their studies and shun all acts of hooliganism and cultism.
“Don’t make yourselves willing tools in the hands of desperate politicians whose children are leaving comfortably outside the shores of the country”, Yaman admonished the students.
