Kwara Receives 12,058 Bags Of Grains From Federal Gov’t

The Kwara State government has confirmed receiving a new consignment of 12,058 bags of grains comprising maize, millet, and sorghum from the federal government.

The breakdowns of the 12,058 are 7,042 of 50kg bags of maize; 2,916 of 50kg bags of millet; and 2,100 of 50kg bags of sorghum.

The state’s Commissioner for Communications, Mrs Bola Olukoju announced this in a statement on Thursday.

Olukoju added that the Kwara State government also received 8,700 of 25kg bags of rice.

She said that the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari will flag off the distribution of the grains in the state very soon in manners that would follow the distribution template sent by the federal government.
