Kwara south senatorial stakeholders have restated their support and loyalty to the leadership of the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The stakeholders equally berated attempts by some political opportunists who they claimed were bent on causing rift between the governor and Senator Lola Ashiru, the deputy Senate leader and Senator representing Kwara South in the National Assembly.
Speaking after the interactive meeting of the stakeholders, which was conveyed by Senator Ashiru, one of the leaders, Omu-Iyadun Hammed said that Senator Ashiru has no reason to be at loggerheads with Governor AbdulRazaq.
“Our governor, the chairman of Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum has demonstrated unblemished gesture of friendship and leadership to Senator Ashiru on several occasions.
“We as a people of Kwara south are not enemies to Kwara North, not an enemy to Kwara Central because that’s the engine room of the state, at the same time; we can not afford to be an enemy to ourselves.”
“We passionately appreciate the amiable Kwara State APC chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi for a thought provoking remarks challenging the state of mental slavery and sycophantic disposition of some desperate politicians posing a greater threat to our value system as a people of Kwara South,” he stated.
