Kwara United FC is fully prepared for the first leg match in the Africa inter-club competition, the 2022/2023 TotalEnergies CAFCC championship against AS Douanes of Niger Republic.
The match has been scheduled to begin by 3.00pm at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.
The Head Coach of the Kwara darling team, Abdulazeez Mohammed told LEADERSHIP in Ilorin, on Saturday, that the team is fully prepared to make the difference.
He, however, charged the players not to disappoint their proprietor and fans by putting in their best in the opening match.
“We are fully prepared for this, having gone through series of trainings, and I will only want to charge my players to make the sacrifice count against AS Douanes tomorrow( Sunday)”, Mohammed said.
Club Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, while analysing the team’s preparations after the last training ahead of the match, commended Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his support for the team.
He equally commended the Kwara State Sports Commission, Lagos State Sports Commission, the Lagos FA, supporters,fans and stakeholders, for their support, adding that the team will turn up good again their opponents, to justify the tremendous support.
The return leg match will hold at the Général Seyni Kountché Stadion or Stade Municipal de Niamey, Niamey, Niger, the home grounds of AS Douanes on September 18, 2022.
The winner, over the two legs will play Moroccan side, Berkane, who are the current holders of the Confederation Cup title.
