The acting vice chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete, Prof. Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, has commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for establishing a university teaching hospital in the state.
This followed the governor’s assent to the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital Law, 2024.
Prof. Jimoh said the governor had immediately begun efforts to upgrade of the Ilorin General Hospital to the status of a teaching hospital as soon as it was presented to him.
Jimoh stated that the commitment shown on the realisation of the goal was truly inspirational, depicting the impact of leadership focused on translating the needs of the people into tangible projects.
He added that the teaching hospital would do more than train exceptional medical personnel and upgrade access to qualitative healthcare for the people.
