L7 Bassist Jennifer Finch Dies At 59 After Courageous Battle With Brain Cancer

Jennifer Finch, the bassist, vocalist and songwriter best known for helping power iconic alternative rock band L7, has died at the age of 59 following a battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer.

The legendary musician’s death was confirmed by her bandmates, who paid an emotional tribute to the woman they described as a beloved friend, sister and creative force whose influence extended far beyond the stage.

“We are shattered by the loss of our beloved bandmate, sister and friend Jennifer Finch, whose fierce spirit, humor and boundless creativity helped shape L7 and changed all of our lives forever,” the band said.

Remembering her remarkable legacy, L7 added, “Jennifer was a true original who lived entirely on her own terms, and the impact she made on music, art and everyone lucky enough to know her cannot be measured.
