Labour Institute Gains Accreditation For Degree Programme

The Nigeria Universities Commission (NUC) has granted the  Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Ilorin, Kwara State approval to run B.Sc. programme in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.

The acting head of the department of Special Duties, Mrs R.O Solomon, announced this in a statement made available to LEADERSHIP in Ilorin.

The statement reads partly:” This development marks another historic milestone in the life of the Institute since its establishment about 40 years ago with the mandate of building the capacity of workers, government officials and employers of labour to achieve industrial harmony and sustainable development in Nigeria.

“Recall that the Institute recently matriculated 84 students enrolled into the proramme which commenced in 2020. Consequently, mobilisation into the Youth Service Corps Scheme will be granted to all MINILS’ B.Sc. students

” The management of the Institute wishes to reaffirm its commitment to achieving its vision of becoming a Regional Centre of Excellence in Labour Studies and a globally renowned Labour institution.
