Members of the Labour Party, Peter Obi’s presidential bid under the Obedient Support Groups, and members of the Community Structure Foundation for Good Governance (CSF), have joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Niger State.

The governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Niger State, Joshua Bawa, led the official movement of the former Labour Party members to the ADC.

Receiving them yesterday in Minna, the national woman leader of the ADC, Hon. Naomi Lasara Abel, said the APC-led government wanted to make Nigeria a one-party system just as she called on ADC to work assiduously for the party’s victory.

She said those who have  defected to the ruling APC did so to have their sins against innocent citizens forgiven.

“Assessments of the current APC led government is that it has failed. Nigerians are suffering and similar to what happened in 2015, Nigerians are ready to vote out the APC in 2027.

“The fact that governors are defecting to APC does not mean that it has an automatic ticket to win.

“We are ready and Nigerians are with us. No matter the weight of sins committed against the country or monies stolen, once you defect to APC, your sins are forgiven which is bad. All these governors are just defecting to have their sins cover up,” she said.

The state chairman of the party, Alhaji Musa Hassan, said the party was becoming stronger in the state and expressed confidence that it would be victorious in 2023

Also speaking, Bawa, said the party would embark on vigorous grassroots mobilisation to ensure Nigerians are convinced to vote out the ruling APC.
