Lafarge Africa Plc has officially changed its corporate identity and name to HBM Nigeria Plc, marking a new phase in the company’s operations following changes in its shareholder structure.

The company announced the transition at an unveiling ceremony in Lagos, stating that the rebranding reflects its strategic evolution as a building solutions provider in Nigeria. It said the name change would not affect its operations, workforce, customers, shareholders, or ongoing commitment to infrastructure development and economic growth in the country.

Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Lolu Alade-Akinyemi, said the new identity represents a forward-looking phase for the company focused on operational excellence, innovat89

Chairman of HBM Nigeria Plc, Gbenga Oyebode, said the rebranding is intended to position the company for long-term growth while maintaining the values that have guided its operations over the years.

He expressed confidence that the company would continue to deliver value to shareholders and strengthen stakeholder confidence.

Minister of Works, David Umahi, who attended the unveiling, commended the company for its contributions to infrastructure development in Nigeria. He noted that the company’s products had supported several major projects across the country and praised its commitment to quality and integrity.
