In Lagos, the company partnered with Leadway Health at Oregun Flagship Primary Health Care Centre, Ikeja, Lagos State, where the Occupational Health Coordinator, Lafarge Africa Plc, Dr. Chimaobi Okoronkwo, emphasized the significance of proper malaria diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Okoronkwo, while demonstrating the correct way to use insecticide-treated nets stressed that “nets are not for decorations but life-saving tools that must be used consistently, especially at night.”

Reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting communities in their fight against malaria, Head, Sustainability and Sponsorships, Lafarge Africa Plc, Gabriel Pollyn, stated that the company remains dedicated to fostering a healthier, more sustainable future for all Nigerians by providing necessary support that would address pressing health issues such as malaria.

“As a sustainability-driven organization, we are committed to supporting communities in their fight against malaria. This is not just a medical issue, it is a societal one that impacts our children’s health, and our economy. Preventing malaria is one of the key areas that we must focus on,” he said.
