Lagos State servants have raised the alarm over alleged molestation by Airforce Officers in Badagry area of the state, calling on Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu to call them to order and guarantee security of lives and property of the residents in the axis.

The civil servants who spoke at separate interviews pointed out that Disquiet now pervades Badagry area of the state, as Air Force officers at the headquarters 653 Nigerian Air Force Station, Ahanve, along Owode-Apa road in Badagry frequently molest Lagos State teachers on their way to Lagos State Model College Kankon, Badagry-West Local Council Development Area.

According to Mr. Augustine Kiki who was also molested along with other colleagues, Mr. Abiona Emmanuel and Mr Ogunsola Kadri the officers stopped them on the way, searched their bags and refused to let go after providing valid means of identification to them as staff of the Lagos State government.

He said that the officers molested them publicly on the highway and threatened them with gun despite their plea.

One of the teachers, Mr. Segun Whenu, a Chief Education Officer at the Lagos State Senior Model College Kankon who witnessed the scene, alighted to identify his colleagues as teachers in the Model College, Kankon and approached one of the officers who told him to leave, but when he could not, the officer assaulted him and he moved aside to call the old commandant of the Air Force Division on his mobile phone, and the officer aimed at him and slapped him again.

Whenu who is an award winning teacher that had led many students who won laurels in school competitions at the state and national level lamented that he went to the General Hospital Badagry on Tuesday to collect medical reports, but was advised to go for a police report first and then come back for  medical examination.

Several residents who reacted to the incidents noted that it is one too many, pointing out that instead of the officers beefing up security in the Badagry axis, they put residents under siege.
