Lagos EkoExcel To Feature At 2024 Education World Forum

Indications have emerged that the Lagos State Government EKOEXCEL will feature at the Education World Forum (EWF) 2024.

The state commissioner for Education, Hon Jamiu Ali-Balogun, who disclosed this to journalists in Lagos said the state government would use the opportunity to showcase its transformative impact on education at the prestigious global event.

According to him, the Lagos State delegation is poised to highlight EKOEXCEL’s successes and share insights into its data-driven approach to education reform.

EKOEXCEL, a flagship initiative of the Lagos State government under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the education sector has revolutionized primary education through innovative technology, professional development for teachers, and a commitment to equitable learning outcomes. With over 13,000 teachers equipped with tablets and pre-loaded lesson plans.

The programme has standardised high-quality instruction across all 1013 public primary schools in Lagos State.

The commissioner said the 2024 Education World Forum themed, “Encouraging AI understanding, Building human relationships and resilience, and accelerating Climate action,” provides an ideal platform to showcase EKOEXCEL’s achievements and contribute to the global dialogue on education reform.

“By participating in key sessions and engaging with international stakeholders, the Lagos State delegation aims to amplify EKOEXCEL’s impact and foster partnerships for future collaboration,” he said

Ali-Balogun, emphasized the significance of Lagos State’s participation in the Education World Forum for the second consecutive year.

“Our presence at the Education World Forum underscores our commitment to advancing education excellence and fostering sustainable development. EKOEXCEL has demonstrated remarkable success in improving learning outcomes and bridging educational disparities, and we are eager to share our experiences and learn from global counterparts,” he said.
