The member representing Suru Constituency in the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Faruku Abubakar Maisudan, has organised training for rice farmers on improved rice production in Suru local government area of Kebbi State.

Speaking during the opening ceremony of the training workshop sponsored in collaboration with the first lady of Kebbi State, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris as part of efforts to complement the state government’s efforts towards achieving food security, Maisudan charged the trainees to make good use of what they learnt during the workshop in order to achieve the objective.

He thanked the Bulaman Gwandu Foundation, Aisha Bello  Ka’oje Cares, Gotomo Farms and the National Seed Council for supporting of the workshop.

Also speaking, the commissioner for commerce and industry,  Alhaji Usman Abubakar Ladan, commended the initiative and described Hon. Maisudan as a worthy ambassador of Suru whose representation continued to bring tangible benefits to his Constituency.
