Lawmaker Restates Govt’s Commitment To Healthcare

The chairman, House Committee on Health Institutions, Patrick Umoh, has restated government’s commitment to quality healthcare delivery for Nigerians.

Umoh, who gave the assurance in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Tuesday, affirmed the House of Representatives’ commitment to quality health through legislation and oversight.

“We presented a report on a Bill for an Act to establish Federal Medical Centre, Achi, Enugu State.

“Also, a report on an Act to establish Federal Medical Centre, Saki ,Oyo for the provision of tertiary healthcare services,” he said.

Umoh also affirmed  the preparedness of the legislature to ensure health equality for all Nigerians
