Member for Aro/Ohafia federal constituency at the National Assembly, Ibe Osonwa, has embarked on the reroofing of a three-classroom block abandoned over two decades ago.
Osonwa announced this while inaugurating three newly completed classroom blocks he facilitated in Ohafor Abam in Arochukwu local government area, Abia State.
The Labour Party legislator informed us that the classrooms were the third primary school projects he had inaugurated to mark his second anniversary at the National Assembly.
Decrying the deplorable condition of some public primary schools in the area, he assured of his commitment to partnering with the governor, Alex Otti, to fix them.
”I want to express my gratitude to you for your unwavering support of me. Let me also assure you of my commitment to every positive project in this community.”
This, of course, includes the recommended perimeter fencing and further rehabilitation projects to address the school’s infrastructure deficit, among others.
He lauded Otti for embarking on the rehabilitation of Nmuri Bridge and its environs in Ohafia, building a new one across River Igwu in Ozu Abam, and road projects in the area.
Responding on behalf of the community and the school, the councillor representing Ohafor Ward, Ike Okoroafor, lauded the lawmaker and expressed delight at the interventions.
