A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, (SAN), Uche Val Obi, has lamented the plights of vulnerable Nigerians, saying its high time wealthy Nigerians helped as many people as possible to weather the current economic challenges and engender further development of the country.

Obi, who made the call at Alliance law firm’s annual lecture series, also noted that the number of Nigerians suffering from a biting economic situation in the country are increasing.

The law firm also used the occasion to celebrate its 20th anniversary and the founder’s silver jubilee.

Obi who is the managing partner of the firm went down memory lane and recalled the first lecture which took place in 2017 and lamented the no lecture of 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID pandemic.

He also said that the choice of this year’s lecture title “Developing Nigeria Through Philanthropy” could not have come at a better time considering the current situation where the country’s citizens are gradually falling away due to the state of our economy.

He, therefore, called on wealthy Nigerians to help as many people as possible because it leads to further development.
