The award ceremony is scheduled for April 8, 2025, at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.

The announcement came in response to an official invitation from the LEADERSHIP Group, which praised the Vice President’s role in advancing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Senator Shettima is expected to deliver a keynote address on the theme, “Challenges and Opportunities in Nigeria’s Fiscal Federalism,” a topic deemed crucial to ensuring the success of the administration’s developmental goals.

Speaking on the event, LEADERSHIP Group said, “We believe this discussion is critical to achieving the renewed hope agenda and reflects the administration’s commitment to fostering national progress.”

The conference also marks a significant milestone for LEADERSHIP Group as it is the first to be held since its 20th anniversary.

The event will feature awards presentations to individuals and institutions that made remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s growth in 2024.

Among previous honorees are President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was named Person of the Year 2023, and Auwalu Salisu, a tricycle driver celebrated as Young Person of the Year 2023 for his honesty in returning N15 million he found in Kano.

The LEADERSHIP Annual Conference and Awards promises to bring together policymakers, thought leaders, and citizens for an engaging dialogue on Nigeria’s present and future.
