The Confederation of APC Support Groups (CASG) has said that their national chairman, Dr Umar Ganduje, is doing well and should be left alone.

According to the APC support groups, President Bola Tinubu promised Nigerians Renewed Hope and distracting their national chairman is a ploy to distract the government.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, the director-general (DG) of CASG, Prof Muhammad Kailani said, “Leave our national chairman alone. He is doing well. We are focused at delivering good dividends to Nigerians. We thank God that the court has ruled that Dr Abdullahi Ganduje is the national chairman of the APC and we are in full support of our chairman.”

Kailani added that the crash in the dollar exchange rate and the improvement in the naira is something Nigerians should cheer for.

“Even the US officials have said that Nigeria will be the largest economy in years to come,” Kailani said and commended the CBN governor, Olayemi Cardoso for injecting about $600 to 1 billion dollars adding that it is the good strategy of the Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.

Kailani who also commended the NNPC GMD, Mele Kyari for his reforms in the Nigeria oil sector, said he discovered many oil wells and repositioned the NNPC through automation that blocked corruption.

“So, those calling for Kyari’s replacement are people who are not happy with the reforms in the oil sector,” he added.

On the comment of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir el-Rufai, Kailani said he is distracting the government of Tinubu, having failed to emerge Chief of Staff, SGF or minister.

Kailani who also decried the increase in food prices despite the improvement in the value of Naira said, “The Naira has appreciated but prices of food are still high. We support the government to go after these businesses that are still selling food at high prices.”
