Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has urged both present and intending investors in the state to leverage on the numerous infrastructure provided by his administration.

Otti stated this while declaring the opening of a two-day Abia -Turkiye Investment Summit and Product Exhibition in Umuahia, the state capital, assuring his administration’s support for them.

In his address entitled” Prosperity through Partnership”, he said the administration organised the event to create a platform for local entrepreneurs to interface with their foreign peers.

He explained: “The aim is to create partnership opportunities for local businesses to leverage upon, to get a foothold on regional and global markets, and to let the world into the state.”

‎He urged the participants to take advantage of the state’s large population of a skilled and resilient workforce, a reliable power supply, a quality road network, and the prevailing security.

‎”My charge to you will be to go into the communities, interact with the local business leaders, and take note of the opportunities that offer strategic business advantages to your team.

‎‎In his speech, the commercial counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in Nigeria, Erdal Faitah Tozoghu said his country was deeply committed to fostering the business relationship between it and the state.

‎”The steps we take today will build a bridge not only between two economies, but between two futures.

‎I sincerely hope that this event will become a regular tradition in the years ahead.‎

‎”We will do our utmost to be here again, with broader participation and even more Turkish companies joining us. Let us walk this road together with trust, respect, and shared ambition”, Tozoghu assured.

‎Contributing to the discussion, the partners, including Eniola Ojajuni, Managing Director of Vega Growing Global Enterprise, and Abiodun Aderohunmu, Managing Partner of Vega Growing Global Enterprises, emphasised the importance of the summit.

‎‎Similarly, the Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Salome Obiukwu, stated that the summit would deepen economic cooperation, unlock new opportunities, and strengthen the partnership between the state and the Republic of Türkiye.

‎‎Earlier, Jerome Green-Amakwe, the special adviser to the governor on Investment Promotion and Public-Private Partnership, stated that the summit would contribute to the state’s economic growth.‎

‎Green-Amakwe, while highlighting what the state stands to gain in the investment summit, explained that “Abia is using this summit to expose itself to the world.

‎”In the last two years and six months, we can see without doubt the reformation, the transformation, the unprecedented developments being propelled by His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti” he stated.
