Governor Yahaya has urged the next administration in Kogi State to leverage on the achievements of his administration.
The governor also noted that his successes so far were a product of a formula adopted and geared towards solving the state’s unique challenges.
Bello stated this at the NUJ Symposium that was tagged: A peep into Governor Yahaya Bello‘s Seven Years in office and implications for future Administration, organized by the Kogi State NUJ Council.
He said he saw the numerous challenges bedeviling the State and applied home-grown formula in solving them.
The governor appealed to Nigerians not to fall into the plan of a few individual politicians bent on creating violence in the next presidential election and expressed optimism that the 2023 Election will hold in peace.
He urged Nigerians to remain calm, pointing out that the current challenges facing the country are temporary.
Bello expressed optimism that the APC presidential flagbearer, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, will win the election overwhelmingly.
He promised to sustain relationships with the NUJ urging media Professionals to remain objective in their reportage, particularly the next week’s election.
The national president of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Chris Isiguzo in a remark said if Democracy is about making impact on the lives of the people, then Governor Yahaya Bello has done well.
The national NUJ president described the Reference Hospital at Okene, as a signature of Governor Bello’s administration that would remain a positive legacy of his administration.
He urged Journalists to discharge their responsibilities in the forthcoming general election without fear or favour, with the aim of enthroning peace and good governance.
Earlier, Kogi State NUJ chairman, Comrade Adeiza Momohjimoh, said the symposium was organized to look at the areas that Governor Bello’s administration has done well and emphasized the need for all hands to be on deck in ensuring peaceful coexistence in the state.
