Chairman of Mangu local government area of Plateau State Hon. Emmanuel Mwolpun has reiterated his administration’s commitment to partner the Potato Value Chain Support Project to ensure food security in the state.
Mwolpun stated this yesterday when he received the project coordinator, Chief Jerry Gushop and his team in his office.
He emphasised the benefits of this partnership, particularly in boosting the local economy and enhancing food security in the area and state at large.
The chairman expressed his administration’s commitment to the project, noting that initiatives like the Potato Value Chain Support Project aligned with their goals of promoting local economy, improving agricultural productivity and increasing access to nutritious food.
Mwolpun also appreciated Governor Caleb Mutfwang for bringing the project to Mangu, adding that people of the area remained grateful for the rare privilege.
He assured the coordinator of the local government’s full cooperation to ensure the project’s success.
The project coordinator, Chief Jerry Gushop, appreciated the executive chairman for the reception and providing enabling the environment for the take off of the project considering its agricultural and economic importance.
