The Ikeja Dynamic Lions Club has intensified an awareness campaign on causes, symptoms and prevention of childhood cancer and other malignant ailments.
Speaking at the investiture of Engineer Alo Michael as the seventh President, fundraising and public donation ceremony of the Ikeja Dynamic Lions Club 2022/2023 Lion service year, Michael said the club has concluded plans to raise funds from well -meaning Nigerians, industrialist, corporate bodies, firms, parastatals and government MDAs to deliver it’s impactful social development projects to communities within Ikeja metropolis.
He reiterated the need to create awareness on diabetes, pediatric cancer for kids, environmental hazards and elimination of hunger in many households and localities around the Ikeja metropolis while stating that this will see improvements in the livelihoods.
While charging members to redefine services for greater impact to build institutions and relevant structures within various provinces, localities and axis in Lagos State, he said the club would be donating e-library for a particular school with credibility within Ikeja province.
He maintained that the library will be a source of knowledge to facilitate digital skills and global learning amongst students.
Michael posited that the club will seek the help of corporate bodies for donations and funds to enable them achieve the completion of projects it has embarked upon while assuring that this will stretch beyond Ikeja axis to other communities in Lagos.
