The raging wranglings and lack of appropriate sharing of campaign logistics has hindered the presidential rally of the All Progressive Congress (APC) which was scheduled to hold today in Jalingo, Taraba State capital.

But the APC in the state dismissed the notion that the rally was postponed on account of a crisis.

LEADERSHIP reliably gathered that the tussle over who heads the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) as well as the handling of the campaign logistics were the major obstacles that forced the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Tinubu to put off the rally in the state.

An insider from the PCC, who spoke to our correspondent, disclosed that the tussle over control of the PCC in Taraba State was between the governorship flag bearer of the party Sen Emmanuel Bwacha and the minister for transportation Alhaji Sambo Jaji.

The source stated that while Bwacha was still having court issues in connection to the gubernatorial primary election, the PCC appointed Jaji to head the campaign.

He further claimed that Tinubu, in a bid to avoid a crisis of sidelining the gubernatorial candidate in the campaign process, returned Bwacha as leader of the APC presidential campaign in Taraba, a development that did not go down well with the minister for transportation.

“We understand that all the logistics for the campaign slated to hold on Friday, 20th of January 2023 were channeled to Sen. Bwacha, that has of course serious wranglings between Bwacha and Jaji camp, they were all waiting for the days of sharing the resources and behold, yesterday it was the D-Day.

“So many things came up, there were disagreements that are capable of causing more harm than good, I believe the National Campaign Council in their wisdom decided to put off the event to settle some issues before another day shall be fixed.”

One of the spokespersons of the minister for Transportation Sambo Jaji who refused to be quoted denied the campaign was postponed to seek for another day than Friday which he said is mainly Muslim prayers.

“Nothing like that please. It was moved so that the party can better prepare ahead of the event and not disrupt the prayer time of Muslim faithful. A new date will be communicated soon. Please,” he said.

Also, when contacted, the director of publicity of APC in the state, Mr. Aeron Atimas, describe the report as “Total Rubbish”
