Ademola Lookman could now remain at Serie A club, Atalanta despite recent reports linking him with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Some reports in the Italian press suggested that the Nigeria international had requested to be sold after hearing of interest from PSG. There were even suggestions that he had been offered a long-term contract worth around €3.5m per season.
However, as it stands, Atalanta have not received any offers from PSG for their Europa League final hat-trick hero.
Lookman’s name had effectively been mentioned as a possible replacement for PSG’s Goncalo Ramos, who is expected to miss around three months of action through injury. However, reports in France suggest that PSG’s squad is ‘complete’ and is already prepared to cover the loss of Ramos.
La Gazzetta dello Sport, meanwhile, reports that Lookman is more likely to stay on with Atalanta with each passing day.
It is not quite the same situation for Teun Koopmeiners, though, who is still sold on the idea of a move to Juventus. He coild return to training under Gian Piero Gasperini this week, but the Bianconeri are still pushing to complete a deal in the region of €60m.
