Love Takes Center Stage As Timini’s ‘Reel Love’ Hits Cinemas

This Valentine’s Day, love takes center stage with Reel Love, a film that explores the complexities of modern relationships and the impact of social media on romance. Set to premiere nationwide on February 14, 2025, the film delivers a heartfelt and relatable story that captures the highs and lows of love in the digital age.

Produced by Timini Egbuson, who continues to lead Nigeria’s box office as an actor while wearing the producer hat, Reel Love marks another milestone in Nollywood’s evolving storytelling landscape, blending authenticity, emotion, and cinematic excellence.

Directed by Kayode Kasum, known for blockbuster hits including Sugar Rush, Kambiili – the whole 30 yards, Quams money, Fate of Alakada,to mention a few. Reel Love captures romance in its rawest form: passionate, intense, and unfiltered.

The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Funke Akindele, Dakore Akande, Bimbo Ademoye, Muyiwa Ademola, Jay On Air, Hermes Iyele, Lilian Afegbai, Efa Iwara, Shaffy Bello, Valerie Ike, Ifan Michael, Olagoke Olajumoke, and introducing T.J. Omosuku who plays the supporting lead role.

Speaking about the project Kayode Kasum stated, “Storytelling has always been my passion, and bringing Reel Love to life was an opportunity to craft a visually stunning and emotionally resonant experience. Cinema is about capturing moments that linger, and we’ve created something truly special that audiences will connect with this Valentine’s Day.”

Timini Egbuson shared his optimism stating , “Reel Love is a story close to my heart. It speaks to the reality of love in the digital age, how we connect, break, and heal. I wanted to create a Valentine’s movie that is authentic, relatable, and deeply moving, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience it.”
