Plateau State Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, Dr Patrick Dakum, has flagged-off his campaign for the 2023 general election, reiterating his commitment to turn the state to an economic hub that will serve as a model to other states in Nigeria. Dakum made the disclosure in Langtang North Mini Stadium.
He lamented that Plateau State can be compared to a car whose engine is about knocking and demanding an expert driver who is familiar with the road; and that the drivers are Dr Patrick Dakum and Hon. Edward Pwajok.
The governorship hopeful further noted that if given the mandate to pilot the affairs of the state, his priority will be on security, mining, tourism, agriculture, education and health.
Dakum promised that the state will enjoy the minerals that God has placed in it, as long as the Labour Party is in power, adding that he will establish fertiliser blending plants in each of the three senatorial zones of the state.
Earlier, Hon Edward Pwajok, Dakum’s running mate slammed the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, saying the party and its leaders had failed the people of the state and the country at large.
