Nigeria’s laboratory solutions provider, LS Scientific, joined industry stakeholders at Pharma West Africa 2026 to showcase technological solutions designed to enhance pharmaceutical production and quality assurance across the continent.
The exhibition brought together regulators, manufacturers, solution providers, creating a platform for knowledge exchange and the introduction of innovations designed to enhance operational efficiency and product standards within the sector.
At this year’s event, the leading providers of laboratory solution providers in Nigeria, LS Scientific, showcased a range of advanced technologies from globally recognized partners, including ERWEKA Germany, IKA Germany, Metrohm Switzerland, Astell UK, VELP Italy, Chemlab Belgium, Wasserlab Spain, Phenomenex USA, DWK UK, ELGA UK, Scharlab Spain and VWR UK
The company noted that its participation aligned with ongoing efforts to address gaps in quality control infrastructure, limited access to modern laboratory technologies and increasing regulatory demands within Nigeria’s pharmaceutical landscape.
Managing Director of LS Scientific, Murewa Odunjo, described the exhibition as a strategic platform for advancing the sector.
“Pharma West Africa represents more than an exhibition. It is a catalyst for the next phase of pharmaceutical growth on the continent. We are glad to contribute by showcasing advanced solutions for the sector,” she said.
He added that Nigeria’s pharmaceutical market, valued at over $2 billion, continued to expand in response to growing demand for locally produced medicines, underscoring the need for improved infrastructure and access to cutting-edge technologies.
Industry participants at the exhibition pointed to a rising appetite for innovation, with many noting exposure to equipment not previously available in the Nigerian market. Others described the range of solutions on display as reflective of a more integrated and forward-looking approach to laboratory operations.
An attendee, John Kola, emphasised the role of modern laboratory systems in strengthening regulatory compliance and product consistency.
“The diversity of laboratory equipment at the exhibition reflects where the industry needs to go,” he said.
Stakeholders at the close of the exhibition reiterated that sustained investment in infrastructure, broader access to technology, stronger collaboration across the pharmaceutical ecosystem will be critical to driving long-term growth and competitiveness in the sector.
