Lugbe Residents Extol Wike Development Strides In FCT

Residents of CRD Layout in Lugbe, Abuja, have commended the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike, over his unusual development strides in the nation’s capital.

They said the minister has done well in infrastructure, health, education and human capital development since he assumed office.

The residents, who spoke yesterday through Mr Adeniyi Balogun during an interview with journalists in Lugbe, noted in particular the massive transformation of the FCT, especially in the road sector, where virtually all the major highways that were in poor condition had been reconstructed.

“Not only the roads that are receiving attention from the minister’s magic touch, the hospitals, schools, potable water and human capital development are also at the forefront of the minister’s transformation agenda.

The residents, however, solicited Wike’s intervention on the massive encroachment on CRD Layout in Lugbe, where a developer and a company are involved in encroachment and land grabbing in area.
The residents accused them of using thugs to intimidate them with the support of Riverpack police personnel in Lugbe, despite the case being in a court of competent jurisdiction.
