The member representing Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, Hon. Amos Gwamna Magaji, has expressed appreciation to leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his emergence as the party’s consensus candidate for the 2027 general election.
Magaji emerged as the APC consensus candidate for the Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency in the recently concluded House of Representatives primary election.
Four aspirants reportedly stepped down in his favour, paving the way for his emergence as the party’s consensus candidate.
The Returning Officer for the election, Edward Pama, announced that Magaji polled 1,876 votes to secure the APC ticket.
The lawmaker, who chairs the House Committee on Health Services, expressed gratitude to God, party leaders, stakeholders, aspirants, and supporters for the confidence reposed in him.
He described his emergence not as a personal victory, but as “a victory for unity, peace, and the collective progress of the constituency.”
Magaji commended the maturity, sacrifice, and statesmanship demonstrated by his fellow aspirants, including Sylvester Anthony, Simon Katunku Gora, Bwans Gideon Kambai, Audu Maikori, and Nita Byack George.
He said their decision to place the unity and peace of the constituency above personal ambition reflected true leadership and patriotism.
The lawmaker assured stakeholders that the mandate belongs to all and pledged to ensure fairness, inclusiveness, and collective participation in the journey ahead.
He also commended the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, for his leadership, wisdom, and commitment to peace, fairness, and unity throughout the process.
According to him, Governor Uba Sani’s leadership continues to inspire hope and confidence among the people.
Magaji further appreciated the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, members of the consensus committee, and the APC State Chairman, Atiku Sankey, for ensuring a transparent and peaceful exercise.
He also thanked several party leaders and stakeholders for their support and contributions to the process, including Sunday Marshall Katung, Larai Sylvia Ishaku, Bege Joseph, Emmanuel Kantiok, Samuel Kambai, Henry Marah, Abdulmalik Durunguwa, Joseph Thot, Esua Guga, Naymarie Francesca, and Musa Akande.
The lawmaker extended appreciation to elders, youths, women groups, party faithful, supporters, and campaign teams across the constituency for their prayers, sacrifices, and unwavering support.
Calling for unity after the primary election, Magaji extended a hand of fellowship to supporters of all aspirants, stressing that the time had come for collective action toward the success of the APC and the development of the constituency.
He reaffirmed his commitment to attracting more democratic dividends and development projects to Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency if re-elected.
According to him, the journey ahead is about building a stronger, more united, and prosperous constituency where every community has a sense of belonging and every voice is heard.
He urged constituents to set aside division and embrace peace, unity, and togetherness, noting that “United we stand, divided we fall.”
“With unity, determination, and the support of our people, victory is assured by the grace of God,” he said.
