The editorial and management team of the fact-finding magazine released the names of the recipients in a press statement yesterday.

The publisher of the magazine, Doofan Damsa, said the award seeks to honour those who have distinguished themselves amongst their colleagues. Though saddled with the same responsibility, they have gone a step further to provide dividends of democracy to their various constituencies.

She noted that there are four categories of the award which include the Best Performing Member in Constituency Outreach/Projects, the Best Performing Member with the Most Impactful Private Member Bills, the Most Vocal Member on the floor of the House and the Most Loved Member of the House which was voted by the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) in the various states.

“Talking about changes done to the initial announced categories, Hon. Chief Doofan Damsa said while accessing the performance of the members; the team decided to include special recognition categories to include some members who caught their attention with their works but not entirely in the already slated categories and they thought also to honour what they saw during their tour of states to encourage and discourage some behaviours within the system.
