Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama, Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, and Nigerian billionaire industrialist and founder of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, are among eminent Africans to be honoured at the 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit 2026 scheduled to hold in Marrakech, Morocco.
Organisers disclosed that the two-day summit, slated for June 26 to 28, 2026, has continued to attract growing interest from African leaders, investors, diplomats, policymakers and development stakeholders across the continent and beyond.
They noted that the recognition of Presidents Mahama and Faye reflects the summit’s commitment to celebrating visionary leadership and transformational contributions to governance, economic development and regional integration in Africa.
The event, organised by the Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation in collaboration with 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa and other partners, has evolved into a major platform for promoting African excellence, cross-border partnerships and sustainable development.
Speaking ahead of the summit, project director, Africa, Amb. Kingsley Amafibe, said preparations were in top gear for what promises to be one of the biggest editions of the event.
According to him, an unprecedented number of delegates, award recipients and strategic partners have already confirmed participation.
“The 2026 edition will provide another opportunity for Africa’s most influential voices to engage, celebrate excellence and foster collaborations capable of shaping the continent’s future,” Amafibe said.
Other personalities listed for recognition include His Royal Highness Vho-Midiavhathu Prince Kennedy Tshivhase, Head of the Tshivhase Traditional Council and Paramount Ruler of the Tshivhase Dynasty, South Africa; Paul T. Tungwarara, presidential investment adviser to the Government of Zimbabwe; Kudakwashe Tagwirei, chief executive officer of Sakunda Holdings, Zimbabwe; Dr Asu Kunemofa of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC); Dr Sindiswa Mzamo, Global president of the Circle of Global Business Women, Lesotho; and Dr Tendai Mhizha, group chief executive officer of Research Bureau International and Integra Africa, Zimbabwe.
Also expected to receive honours are former African Union Commission chairperson, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma; Nollywood actress Funke Akindele; technology entrepreneur Shola Akinlade; Prof G.D. Singh, chairman of the Asian African Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Prof Nicalse Ndemb; Engr Samuel Alabi; Natania Botha; and ex-president of Afreximbank, Prof Benedict Oramah, among other notable Africans.
Amafibe urged nominees, stakeholders and prospective partners to visit the summit’s official platforms for registration and updates as preparations for the continental gathering intensify.
The summit is expected to provide a strategic platform for dialogue on leadership, investment, entrepreneurship and sustainable development while recognising individuals making significant contributions to Africa’s growth and global relevance.
