Founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has criticised activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore, over his recent comments against President Bola Tinubu.

In a statement, Maharaj Ji said, it was “unacceptable” and unbecoming of a political actor.
In a statement titled, “Sowore’s Political Infancy and Moral Rough-Ride – That President Tinubu Is a Criminal Is Unacceptable,” Maharaj Ji said Sowore’s latest arrest should serve as an opportunity for him to learn lessons about the nature of leadership and politics in Nigeria.

According to the spiritual leader, it is wrong for Sowore to “emotionally engage” national issues without proper understanding of the complex forces influencing Nigeria’s political and economic state.

“It is absolutely wrong to call the Head of State a criminal. Sowore has a case to answer,” Maharaj Ji stated.

Maharaj Ji argued that all political actors in Nigeria were being manipulated by foreign forces bent on keeping the country unstable and underdeveloped.

He maintained that Sowore’s approach to politics, marked by “childish verbal power” has failed to win popular support, as reflected in his poor electoral performance.

He faulted Sowore’s recent protests calling for the release of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, describing the move as contempt of court.

He ended the statement with a note of caution and advice to Sowore, “He should tell us why the President is a criminal to avoid being dealt with by the arms of the law as a deterrence to others who may disregard the rule of law.”
