The royal father who is the chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area Traditional Council made the commendation during the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir Sallah parade ceremony held at the Muhammadu Buhari Square in Lokoja.

According to him, Governor Ododo’s administration has improved the welfare of the citizens. He noted that the ongoing infrastructural projects, such as the water supply and sanitation initiative in Lokoja, have greatly improved the quality of life among residents of the state capital.

“The recent progress on the Army barracks road and other developmental giant strides speaks to a shared vision for a modern and prosperous Lokoja.

“We also appreciate the government’s investments in education and healthcare, which are laying a strong foundation for future generations. These initiatives are not only timely, but essential for building a resilient and inclusive society,” the royal father noted.

The monarch, therefore, urged Lokoja’s sons and daughters who have been entrusted with responsibilities in government and other institutions to endeavour to serve with utmost integrity, humility, and strong commitment in the interest of the Lokoja community.

In a message to the youth of Lokoja, His Royal Highness charged them to embrace the values of hard work, discipline, respect, and integrity, urging them to shun cultism, drug abuse, violence, and other criminal activities that are inimical to their future.

He advised the youth to embrace dialogue, education and entrepreneurship to better their lives and have legitimate sources of livelihood.

“Seek knowledge, develop your skills and contribute positively to the progress of our community. Your creativity, energy and innovative spirit are key to building a brighter and more prosperous Lokoja,” he advised.

The Maigari of Lokoja, who also appealed to the people of Lokoja to extend hands of fellowship to the less fortunate in the community, stated that Eid-el-Adha is a time for sharing, compassion, and giving.

“Let us extend our hands in generosity and kindness and ensure that the joy of this season reaches every home. In doing so, we strengthen the bonds of love, unity, and togetherness that define us as a people,” His Royal Highness stressed.
