Makinde Approves Coronation Of 3 Obas

Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde has approved the coronation and presentation of staff of office to three traditional rulers in the state.

Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade gave the names of the traditional rulers as His Royal Majesty, Oba Sakiru Oyewole Akanni Oyelere, the Onifiditi of Fiditi who will be presented with the Staff of Office and crowned on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

“On Friday, July 5, 2024, Oba Cornelius Abiola Taiwo Oladokun will be crowned and presented with the staff of office as His Royal Majesty the Alaawe of Awe.

“While the coronation of His Royal Majesty, Elempe of Tapa, Oba Titiloye Oyekanmi Sunday will take place on Monday, July 8, 2024 and will be presented the staff of office.”

It would be recalled that the Seyi Makinde administration had since inception five years ago installed and crowned more than 30 Obas and Baales across the state.
