Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has paid a solidarity visit to the residence of the immediate-past Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, following the abduction of latter’s sister and her twin male children.
During the visit in Ibadan on Friday, the governor expressed concern over the incident and reassured the family that efforts were ongoing to secure the release of the kidnap victims.
“We share in your pain at this difficult time,” Governor Makinde said. “I want to assure you that the government and security agencies are doing everything possible to ensure the safe return of your sister and her children.”
The governor also conveyed his sympathy to the family and stressed that law enforcement agencies were working relentlessly to rescue the abductees and apprehend perpetrators.
“Our security agencies are on the matter, and we remain committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice,” he stated.
Governor Makinde further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening security across the state through continued collaboration with relevant agencies.
“We will continue to work closely with security stakeholders to combat criminal activities, protect lives and property, and ensure that residents can go about their daily activities without fear,” he added.
